I built this site from the ground up, using a color palette and basic line drawings provided by Shashonna, the tattoo shop’s owner. The site features a standard landing page, a general FAQ, an About Us, Contact, and several artist portfolio galleries. Most copy is written by Shashonna, though she often requests a brief review and edit by me. Graphics for elements such as page banners were created by me using Adobe Photoshop, utilizing the line drawings provided by Shashonna.

Astro Pipes.

Specs.

Kevin of Astro Pipes gave me a lot of creative freedom with this site, so it was a lot of fun to build. In addition to creating the general layout of the site, I was also responsible for site graphics, font pairings, copy editing, product imagery cleanup, as well as some product color naming (oddly exciting). After the site was built, I worked with Kevin and Astro Pipes to ensure product sales could be made unhindered, which required extensive research into e-commerce platforms and their various terms of services.

Dark Arbor Lodge.

Specs.

As a member of the Dark Arbor Lodge, my particular role involves mostly digital content creation and software management; this includes the layout and build of the official Dark Arbor Lodge website. The color palate used for the site was based around the black-and-white group logo (designed by a different member of the Lodge), and the general look reflects a design idea suggested by DAL member Guido. Font-wise, I selected a complimentary combination of serif and san serif fonts, both encapsulating the “esoteric-yet-classic” aesthetic of the group. Several artist bios, as well as event descriptions were written by me.
